    Who We Are

A Little Background About the Practitoners

    broken image

My name is Bridjett Gassaway APRN, FNP-C and I am a family nurse practitioner that specializes in weight loss and preventative healthcare. My love for healthcare started when I was about 7 or 8 years old when I use to “pretend” read my mother’s Greys Anatomy book. When she died from brain cancer when I was 9 years old, I then wanted to become a scientist and find a cure for cancer. As I got older, I was torn between becoming a doctor or a nurse. Once I reached my teen years, I decided on becoming a nurse and then a nurse practitioner soon after. I have been in the healthcare field for over a decade in various healthcare roles, but mostly in primary care, urgent care and weight loss. In every specialty I have worked, the same factor remained. The need to start and maintain a healthy lifestyle is PIVOTAL in preventing and treating illnesses. Many chronic illness arise from 1, 2, then 3 symptoms as a result of inflammation, sluggish metabolism and the liver not detoxifying properly. Being "healthy" is hard to achieve with crazy work schedules, STRESS, family, and lack of time or energy; it is even harder to add lifestyle changes in the mix. Weight loss is important in being healthy, but taking care of yourself inside and out is key. With being overweight and suffering from chronic pain most of my life, I too have struggled with being consistent with diet, supplements, self-care routines and exercise. I have helped many clients with chronic health conditions improve their health, labs results, weight loss and most importantly, FEEL better. Getting yourself healthy to live a fulfilling life is hard enough with everyday stressors, we are here to help!

My name is Ileana Green, APRN, FNP-C. I am a family nurse practitioner with more than 20 years of experience in the field of nursing. My passion for helping others started as a young girl, also around the age of 8 years old, while helping care for my mother who lost her battle to liver cancer at a young age.  I would study the amazing home care nurses that came to our home. I would ask questions and not only would they happily answer, but they would take the opportunity to explain.  One nurse in particular actually took the time to sit and talk to me about her choice to become a nurse.  The conversation solidified my future career as a nurse.  This early exposure to the complexities of illness and caregiving sparked a lifelong passion for nursing.

Throughout my career, I have not only strived to provide exceptional care to my patients, I have also faced my own health challenges. My personal health journey has further fueled my commitment to understanding the root causes of illness and advocating for comprehensive, patient-centered care. I am dedicated to empowering my patients to take control of their health through lifestyle changes. I believe in a holistic approach to healthcare, focusing on prevention, education, and the promotion of healthy habits to maintain and improve well-being.
